When large parts of the liver become damaged beyond repair liver failure can occur. Malnutrition can cause liver failure. Hepatitis B and C also can cause liver failure. Injestion of wild poisonous mushrooms can cause the condition as well. Your liver is a major organ in the body. Sometimes liver failure is quite difficult to diagnose. A liver transplant is gives very successful results and will allow the person to live. Often one will be placed on an list of waiting. Sometiomes a person who is suffering from liver failure does not make it to recieve the new liver. This happens in quite a few cases where there is not much time to wait.
