Head Lice
Head lice is a very contagious condition in which a tiny bug named lice gets into your hair and causes very uncomfortable itching on your head. It can be caused by unsanitary living conditions, or from poor hygiene and lice can often be rather difficult to get rid of because not only do the lice live in your hair, but they can also get into furniture, bedding, and other items in your home. If you are infected with head lice, first you must treat your hair, but then you must also treat any area of the house where the lice might have come in contact with otherwise the lice will lay eggs and the entire infestation will begin all over again.
There are many over the counter treatments to get rid of lice in the hair, including the highly poplular RID shampoo. This shampoo is very affective in treating lice because not only does it treat the lice that are already there, it treat the eggs that will eventually create a new infestation. Keeping your hair clean is another way to avoid lice because lice prefer dirty hair. Lice is often common amongst children, because children are always together in small spaces and all lice has to do is jump from one head of hair to another to infect another child. Lice can jump very far, and once they get into the hair, the only way to get rid of them is with special shampoo like RID. In more serious infestations, a hair cut might work best at getting rid of the lice. After getting rid of the lice at the source, it is of the utmost importance to clean your home. There are also products on the market that are made to get lice out of fabric such as on couches, or in beds, and if you really want to get rid of the lice problem, you have to attack the lice from every angle.
