Home Facial For Keeping Up With Your Skin Regime

The key to healthy skin is a healthier diet. It is believed that you should apply things on your face that you can actually think of eating. If you can't feed it to your stomach you should not feed it to your skin too. Being in the lockdown period it becomes quite difficult for us to go out in beauty salons and take care of ourselves. If someone doesn't have good eating habits then it obviously shows on their skin too. The artificial Chemicals may gel up with your outer skin but they don’t keep you healthy from the inside. Having a rough diet could have a rough effect on your body too. The acne, redness and skin darkening also show the and patches may show up on your skin and you might not just have a bad skin day but a bad skin month or any year too. Coming to the homemade facial it is always recommended to do three things on a regular basis that is cleansing, toning, and moisturizing. And once in a week, you should exfoliate your skin too.

Hence your skin regime should include things like cleansing your skin and then exfoliating it, applying a toner then a mask and later on a moisturizer.

Before starting any facial you must tie your hair up and separate them using a hairband. Your hair should not come in contact with your skin so that they don't get spoiled during the process. It is always better to either make a ponytail or tie them up in a bun. Also, make sure that your hands are sanitized and you have a bowl of water and a clean face towel with you.

The very first step to do facial is to clean your skin properly. One must always use a mild cleanser for cleaning up your face. If you don't want to go with your regular face wash then you can even wipe away all the makeup with a Neem oil . And later on use your normal face wash on it. Make sure that you don't apply the product directly onto your skin. The best way is to massage in circular motions while leathering it on your fingers. Once you are done removing all this with good coconut oil or Neem oil then your skin is ready for the next step.

Exfoliating is the best and most crucial step of facial. It helps in unclogging the pores on your skin and removing the layer of dead skin cells. You can either buy a scrub with natural ingredients or make some on your own. The best one would be a Tea tree Scrub along with sugar. All you need to do is blend one teaspoon of sugar along with equal parts of water and tea tree Essential oil that is 2 to 3 drops and blend them together. You can then apply it on your entire face and rub it on your skin. When you rub your skin with a scrubber you should always work in a circular motion and make sure to apply water in between so that it doesn't dry up and scratches your skin.

Pro tip

After these two steps take steam. Steam will help in opening up your pores and it will give you a spa-like vibe. You need to add essential oils into the water and take steam for 5 to 10 minutes. This will not just help in opening up your pores but will also help in letting oil get into your skin.

Face mask

For getting a salon-like natural and hydrant glow you need to apply a face mask. Face masks will help in keeping your skin moist and hydrated. A good face mask also helps in giving you a youthful appearance and keeps you hydrated. You can make a face mask at home: the easiest one is of rose and turmeric. You can empty some turmeric powder in a bowl and pour some rosewater into it. Mix both of them in a nice mixture and apply it on your face using a brush or your fingertips. Leave it for 20 to 30 minutes and then wash it using cold water. Another method is to use aloe vera and cream. Everybody knows aloe vera has many healing properties and mixing it with some fresh cream will only add to the wows of it.

Moisturizing is the final step of any facial. It is very important to wipe off the face mask properly before applying any moisturizer on your skin. If you have dry skin then you can go for the organic substances with heavy cream and if you have dry skin then go for vitamin C products. Ensure to massage the moisturizer into your skin for at least 15 to 20 minutes.
